We love the global feel of our webinars and it was great to be joined by clients from both sides of the Atlantic. While delegates came to us with a range of levels of Smartsheet knowledge, everyone was able to gain something from the session. 

CTO Dr James Harris got a great response with his live demo on Smarter Dashboards, where he showed how to manage timesheets and meeting minutes using web-based dashboards embedded into Smartsheet. These solutions showed how you can dynamically slice and dice Smartsheet data, or can add/update data into existing sheets directly from your Smartsheet dashboard. 

We were delighted to welcome Debbie Priest from NHS Tayside who took us through her Smartsheet dashboard environment, showing how linked dashboards can provide a very effective company intranet, with a layout that lends itself to mobile phone use as well as via desktop.

We had our highest attendance yet, and a truly global feel as clients joined us from Toronto, Uruguay, Ethiopia, South Africa, London and Texas to name just a few!

Chief Smartsheet Solutions Officer Debbie Sawyer took everyone through how to customise the Smartsheet PMO template set with her usual clarity and attention to detail including a peak at the new Baselines feature . Our Smartsheet and AppSheet Consultant David Bower then followed up with a cracking demo of how to share PMOs in MS Teams.

What prompted you to sign up for our webinar and what were you hoping to get out of it? 

My team and I were working on our Office Tracker and Debbie had mentioned the webinar. We felt that it would be a great insight into getting the best out of the tracker. I was hoping to get a better understanding into using all of the features available and utilising them within our tracker and throughout other projects too.

Have you or are you intending to put any of the Tips covered in the webinar into practise in your own sheets?

I have used some of the features on collaborations sheets across the business as a way of presenting information and data. Our office tracker has also been updated in order to reflect the max capacity in the office and the capacity on a day-to-day basis. I am sure that these tips will also be helpful with other projects that we intend to use Smartsheets for.

How much time do you think you have saved by using the tips shared during the webinar?

Once the office reopens, it will definitely save a lot of time. Rather than having to calculate how many are in a particular office on any given day, the stats will be at the top of the page. The information provided towards the end on vaccination will also help greatly and the aim will be to integrate the sheets to be in a better position to have all the facts clearly displayed.

What three words would you use to describe the experience? 

Useful, informative, practical.

Would you do it again? 

Definitely. I really enjoyed the webinar and it was nice to hear from a number of people within the SBP team. I also enjoy the interactive side – being able to see how to do things and then having the opportunity to do them myself.
